Locus EIM to modernize MSG laboratory and field data workflows and support complex regulatory reporting

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., February 10, 2026 —Locus Technologies, the sustainability and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance software leader, today announced that Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG), an innovative Midwest-based consulting firm, has selected Locus Environmental Information Management (EIM) as its enterprise platform for managing complex analytical data and regulatory deliverables.

MSG delivers professional services in environmental, transportation, water, and community infrastructure sectors, assisting federal, state, municipal, and private clients. Renowned for addressing intricate challenges such as CERCLA and RCRA site characterization and remediation, environmental compliance, waste management, hydrologic analyses, and laboratory testing, MSG is investing in advanced digital tools to improve data accuracy, analytical precision, and client results.

As part of a broader digital transformation initiative, MSG evaluated alternatives to its current data management workflows and legacy environmental data systems. After piloting a competing environmental data management solution, MSG’s buying committee selected Locus EIM for its scalability, flexibility, robust data validation, and superior visualization and reporting capabilities.

“Mannik & Smith is exactly the kind of forward-thinking organization that recognizes data as a strategic asset,” said Neno Duplan, CEO of Locus Technologies. “They needed a platform that could scale with the complexity of their work — from laboratory data management and advanced analytics to regulatory reporting — and Locus EIM has a long, proven track record delivering those capabilities for the most demanding environmental programs.”

MSG will use Locus EIM extensively to manage laboratory and field data, validate results, and produce formatted analytical reports that compare results against regulatory criteria, including support for report footnotes. The firm also plans to leverage Locus’s regulatory deliverables capabilities to support reporting to the state and federal agencies.  MSG is collaborating with Locus to implement advanced statistical methods to better estimate analyte contributions from multiple soil sources.

“Locus EIM stood out as the most adaptable platform we evaluated,” said Kevin Lund, PE, CPG, Associate and Senior Project Manager. “It’s cloud-based architecture ensures secure, real-time access for teams working in the office, field or remotely, supporting collaboration and data-driven decision-making. I appreciate EIM’s advanced data validation tools ensuring that all data entered meets rigorous quality standards, reducing the risk of errors. The platform’s adaptability means it can be tailored to the specific workflows and report requirements of Mannik & Smith Group, streamlining project delivery and improving efficiency. EIM’s ability to generate high-quality regulatory and client-ready reports gave me confidence that we are investing in a system that will support both our current needs and future innovation to deliver the best outcomes to clients and stakeholders.”

With decades of experience supporting large-scale environmental programs, Locus EIM is widely recognized as the market leader for managing complex analytical data and delivering defensible, regulator-ready reporting across environmental, water, and infrastructure projects.

Locus Technologies Successfully Completes SOC 1 and SOC 2 Audits

Locus maintains streak as the only EHS & ESG Software provider with both valid verifications of its own financials, operations, and security

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., September 23, 2025 —Locus Technologies, the sustainability and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance software leader, today announced the successful completion of its Type 2 SOC 1® and Type 2 SOC 2® audits as of July 31, 2025 for the period of July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. These rigorous type 2 audits and the subsequent third-party attestation reports provide further evidence of the company’s leadership, integrity, and security in the EHS software, ESG reporting, and water data management markets. The audit was conducted by A-LIGN, the leading provider in cybersecurity compliance trusted by more than 4,000 global organizations to help mitigate cybersecurity risks.

By adhering to the stringent requirements of System and Organization Controls (SOC) audits, Locus demonstrates its commitment to protecting sensitive customer data against cyber threats and operational failures. This proven commitment builds trust with customers, assuring them that their data is secure and managed according to the highest industry standards and helps Locus comply with various regulatory requirements.

“Organizations are struggling with software investment decisions made with faulty, biased information that proliferates online,” said Neno Duplan, Founder and CEO of Locus. “Our Type 2 SOC 1 and Type 2 SOC 2 verifications give companies the confidence they need to make the move to Locus, especially amid cybersecurity threats and an unstable climate of corporate consolidation in the EHS and ESG software markets. Locus remains independent—and independently verified.”

Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the SOC 2 examination is designed for organizations of any size, regardless of industry and scope, to ensure the personal assets of their potential and existing customers are protected. SOC 2 reports are recognized globally and affirm that a company’s infrastructure, software, people, data, policies, procedures and operations have been formally reviewed.

“Congratulations to Locus Technologies for earning their SOC 2 attestation, which is a widely recognized signal of trust and security,” said Steve Simmons, COO of A-LIGN. “It’s great to work with organizations like Locus Technologies who understand the value of expertise in driving an efficient audit and the importance of a high-quality final report.”

This certification demonstrates Locus Technologies’ continued commitment to compliance and gives customers the assurance that required safeguards are in place to protect their data.

Top Oil & Gas Company Selects Locus Water as its Enterprise Water Metrics and Management Software

Locus Water integrates with the customer’s existing Locus environmental software.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., August 5, 2025 —Locus Technologies, the sustainability, water, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance software leader, announced today that a Fortune 10 global oil and gas company has selected Locus Water software for a worldwide roll-out. The enterprise solution resolves compliance and data challenges spanning water sources across the company’s upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, giving every business unit real-time visibility into consumption by source and type metrics. Implementation begins immediately in North America, with additional regions scheduled for 2026.

The customer rolled out Locus Waste software in 2024, and the selection of Locus Water accelerates their consolidation of all environmental programs on a single SaaS platform. The oil and gas company has managed its water quality analytical data in Locus software since 2003.

“Forward-looking energy companies are prioritizing integrated systems for all environmental programs as a way to capitalize on artificial intelligence and gain strategic insights across their portfolios,” said Neno Duplan, Founder and CEO of Locus Technologies. “Locus is one of the few software developers with the underlying architecture, data validation, and domain expertise to deliver.”

This customer is one of many to report frustration with so-called all-in-one environmental platforms that were, in reality, fragmented tools cobbled together by private equity rollups lacking long-term vision. Duplan explains, “The absence of true integration cripples data flow, complicates reporting, and ultimately drives customers toward purpose-built platforms like Locus.”

By unifying water and waste programs on the Locus Platform, the oil and gas company expects to eliminate redundant systems, reduce data-management costs, and deliver stronger enterprise-wide reporting for executives, regulators, consultants, and investors.

Locus provides a fully integrated and validated data foundation across all programs, positioning the company to capitalize on the ongoing AI revolution. Only Locus offers this level of readiness, with the architecture, tools, and data structure required to unlock next-generation insights.  To learn more, please visit http://www.locustec.com.

Locus Technologies Releases Service Order Management App

Enterprises boost productivity, reduce costs, and capitalize on AI-driven insights.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 27, 2025 —Locus Technologies, the sustainability and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance software leader, announced the release of its Locus Service Order Management (SOM) app, a user-configurable software-as-a-service (SaaS) to help complex organizations efficiently manage any work order lifecycle and streamline any service workflow with transparency, auditability, and AI modeling. The Locus Service Order Management app automates the scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of service tasks for any department, from inception to closure, all within a single unified platform. Locus SOM integrates with 30+ purpose-built apps in the Locus ecosystem, enabling seamless integration with adjacent apps for service order-centric initiatives, such as EHS and water compliance, incident response, and asset management.

“Locus Service Order Management is the missing piece for organizations looking to streamline field operations and compliance response without adding another disconnected system,” said Neno Duplan, founder and CEO of Locus Technologies. “It makes little sense for customers to license and manage standalone service order software when they can use our fully integrated, AI-ready platform to initiate, track, and document corrective actions—whether responding to a water compliance alert, a refrigerant leak, or any other field event—directly from within the same system they already use to manage environmental data.”

Locus SOM includes end-to-end workflow automation, dashboards and reports, process analytics, field service management (FSM), tasking, notifications, routing/territory planning, asset and equipment management, incident management, and corrective action tracking.

All Locus apps are metadata-driven, which empowers users to configure the interfaces and workflows within Locus Service Order Management to meet the needs of any department, from compliance to customer service and ITSM. “There’s no limit to the types of business processes our customers can manage with Locus Service Orders; it could be equipment maintenance or service outages. The app flexes to any use case.”

All Locus software is delivered via a multitenant cloud that centralizes and secures customers’ data, enabling scalability and AI that continually improves as the collective data grows. “The Locus Service Order app improves service delivery and reduces operational costs through the efficient, automated management of work orders and the generation of insights to optimize workforces and transform processes,” said Duplan.

All applications in the Locus Water collection support data capture from mobile, IoT devices, and API connectors, and they share a common user interface, a workflow engine, a reporting dashboard, GIS, Single Sign-On (SSO) and enterprise-grade security, and configuration tools for power users to adjust the software. The configurable nature of the metadata-driven architecture positions Locus clients to quickly respond to regulatory changes, emerging contaminants, and EHS compliance and ESG/CSRD requirements from the same interface.
