Position Details

Immediate opening for a full-time Environmental Field Technician. This position involves field work including collection of environmental samples, maintenance of field equipment, coordination with engineers and contractors, and documentation of activities. Hands on outdoor work and the ability to troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner is required. Local candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sample collection of water, air, and vapor samples
  • Operates equipment to monitor field parameters
  • Documentation of field activities through logs and chain of custody records
  • Assists with operating and maintaining treatment and mitigation systems

Compensation

Comprehensive compensation package, including paid holidays and paid FTO, health insurance, dental/vision insurance, performance bonuses, and competitive salaries. Annual salary of $35,000-$85,000 or hourly equivalent.

Accredited CARB GHG Lead Verifier (P8)

Position Details

Immediate opening for a full-time Accredited Lead Verifier under the California Air Resources Board’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) program. Additional accreditation under CARB’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard and/or Oregon’s GHG and/or Clean Fuels Programs and/or Washington GHG Program is beneficial. This is a challenging position that requires knowledge and understanding of the regulations, and effective direct communication with clients, regulators, and colleagues. The ideal candidate will work independently to research regulatory requirements, review report content, and attest to the validity of GHG/LCFS/CFP reports and applications submitted to the State Agencies.
Travel is required and will vary depending on regulatory requirements and client locations.
In addition, the successful candidate will be a team member contributing to our established environmental consulting practice, which may include consulting services in the GHG/LCFS space, environmental investigation, remediation, and field work.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other Sciences
  • CARB Lead Verifier accreditation in Greenhouse Gas program with at least one Specialty
  • US work authorization is required

Compensation

Project/Senior Field Engineer Or Senior Technician (P7)

Position Details

Immediate opening for a full-time, mid or senior level, Environmental Field Engineer with 5 or more years of experience. The ideal candidate will assume responsibilities for field services, field engineering, and automation including operating and maintaining groundwater treatment systems and monitoring networks. This position includes participating in and guiding sampling efforts, providing technical input, and assisting with designs. Hands on outdoor work and the ability to troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner is required. Local candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining remediation systems including groundwater treatment systems, soil gas vapor extraction and vapor mitigation systems.
  • Routine extraction and monitoring well maintenance.
  • Responds to treatment and extraction system failures to ensure little or no down time, including well and transfer pump troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Chemical and supply ordering and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with engineering team on project design, field work planning, and optimization.
  • Identify equipment for upgrades or maintenance. Ensures appropriate tools are available.
  • Oversee or perform tool/equipment maintenance.
  • Maintaining equipment area and field vehicles.
  • Coordinates with laboratories, drillers, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Follows work plans and project requirements.
  • Follows Health and Safety Plans.
  • Follows environmental regulations and orders.
  • Supervise technicians and field staff as necessary and review work in a safety conscious matter.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 + years as a Field Engineer or performing field work in the environmental industry.
  • Four-year college degree in engineering, geology, or related field (or equivalent).
  •  Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skills.
  • Process treatment knowledge.
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.

Position Details

Position Details

Immediate opening for a full-time entry or junior-level environmental engineer/geologist with 0 to 3 years of experience at environmental consulting and software firm that offers technically complex projects and unique opportunities for growth. You will be a team member contributing to our environmental services market, participating in services related to investigation, remediation, and sustainability. Position is based out of Mountain View, CA. Candidate must be local due to field work responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follows and develops work plans and HASPs
  • Conducts field work including groundwater monitoring/remediation, indoor air and soil gas sampling, and assisting with mitigation system installation
  • Coordinates with laboratories, drillers, vendors and subcontractors
  • Conducts and leads analytical tasks such as field mapping, preparing tables, and charts using software reporting tools.
  • Evaluates and interprets field and sampling results, contributes to monitoring and evaluation reports
  • Uses in-house proprietary database software
  • Quality assurance and quality control of data
  • Communicates with clients and stakeholders
  • Assists with greenhouse gas verifications

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biological Sciences or related field
