Locus Technologies to Present at the 2010 EMDQ Workshop
Joshua Jaffe, Senior Project Manager with Locus Technologies Information Management Group, will be presenting at the 2010 Environmental Monitoring & Data Quality (EMDQ) Workshop this Thursday, April 15th in Louisville, KY. The title of the presentation is Mining 3rd Party Data Sources to Create Data Mash Ups for Expedited Site Divesture, to be held at 3:50 PM at the Brown Hotel.
The presentation covers the use of KML files and Google Maps as a means for sharing and display data from disperse sources. Once data are transferred to a central database, Google Maps can be leveraged to mash data from multiple providers in one analysis tool. Having data in mash ups can help property owners make decisions about the sale or purchase of property with an environmental liability. By leveraging this tool large cost savings can be realized through quicker and more informed decision making.
