Compliance with Security Protocols

Locus Technologies adheres to the Safe Agreement and has undergone Service Organization Control 2 (SM) examinations stating Locus has maintained effective controls over security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of data in our software.

Multi-tiered Protection

Our entire system is secured at an infrastructure, application and network level— including firewall and intrusion detection, virus protection, and encrypted storage. Any access to customer data is logged and reviewed according to Locus internal security protocols and SOC1 and SOC2 policies.

Robust Data Backup

Disaster recovery and restore options can be very fast to meet customer needs, should a restore ever be needed. With AWS, Locus can offer secure, durable, and cost-effective data archiving and long-term backup for our customers as well.

Single Sign-On

Single Sign-On (SSO) is a popular security mechanism for many organizations. With SSO, one single login allows access to multiple applications, which simplifies username and password management and reduces the number of potential targets for malicious hacking of user credentials.

AWS Advantages

All data is stored in highly secure, FedRAMP compliant Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers, which are available in multiple regions across the world. Encryption in transit with TLS across all services. AWS services and technologies built from the ground up to provide resilience in the face of DDoS (Denial of Service) attacks.

Extensive Role-Based Permissions

Locus allows administrators to assign various permissions from view-only to full editing privileges to specific users or groups of users. Specific functions can also be managed. Administrators have full control over password complexity requirements and expiration dates as well.

Data Privacy

Only authorized personnel at Locus have access to the customer data for the purpose of the relevant system’s operations and maintenance. Our cloud hosting partner AWS has no access to any customer data. Locus does not share any data with external parties.

Auditing Options

Data that is encrypted at rest can be manipulated but the content cannot be read by authorized personnel. Data that is not encrypted at rest can be manipulated and can be read by authorized personnel; however, any such action is audited, and audit logs are reviewed by Locus IT staff on a routine basis.
