Position Details

Overview
Immediate opening for a full-time, mid-level, Environmental Field Engineer/Field Technician, with 5 or more years of experience, at an environmental consulting and software firm that offers technically complex projects and unique opportunities for growth. You will be a team member, contributing to services in the remediation, compliance, and sustainability markets. You will participate and lead services related to investigation, remediation, field services, and other areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts or oversees field work including groundwater monitoring/remediation, indoor air sampling, and assisting with mitigation system installation
• Coordinates with laboratories, drillers, vendors and subcontractors
• Follows work plans and HASPs
• Follows environmental regulations and orders

Requirements

• 5 + years as a Field Technician, Field Scientist, or Field Engineer in the environmental consulting industry
• Experience in operating and maintaining remediation systems
• Experience in extraction well maintenance, pump troubleshooting
• Experience conducting or leading environmental field activities including collecting soil/groundwater samples, water level monitoring
• Self-starter with good communication and writing skills
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to details and strong time management capabilities
• Must be physically capable, able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Desirable Qualifications

• 40-hour HAZWOPER training
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, ….)
• Experience with solvent groundwater contamination, bioremediation and/or vapor intrusion

SALARY RANGE:
$30,000 to $500,000
