Locus has extensive experience with developing cost-effective solutions to investigating and remediating all types of environmental media, including groundwater, surface water, and soil. Locus' project management focus, multi-disciplinary staff, support services, and state-of-the-art technologies are available to successfully complete your remediation projects. From small-scale investigation projects to large-scale engineering and remediation efforts, our turnkey approach makes a range of solutions available through a single reliable source.
Locus concentrates design efforts on the evaluation of remedial technologies that are potentially applicable to your site-specific problem. An applied technology focus facilitates our screening of treatment methods to identify cost-effective solutions that meet cleanup criteria. Risk assessment and transport modeling may also be used to help define remedial goals or simulate the effect of remedial technologies. Whether the optimum solution involves one treatment method or a combination of several technologies, we have accumulated experience in a variety of technologies necessary to support every task associated with remediation projects.
Once the remedy is selected, Locus will work with you to obtain approval to proceed from the applicable regulatory agencies. At that point, Locus professionals develop detailed specifications for all major work to be performed and all equipment to be used for the project. Locus can then provide general contractor services and turnkey project oversight to install any facilities needed to successfully complete the remediation. Locus has an impressive history of successful implementation of innovative remedial technologies.
Once the system is installed, Locus offers direct hands-on knowledge of the operation and maintenance of many types of remedial treatment systems. If required, we implement a monitoring program to document the progress of site restoration. The program can be facilitated by EIM, Locus' web-based environmental database management system, to manage, verify, and report all data with significant cost savings. Using the data, trained site personnel adjust operating conditions to meet plant performance requirements. Locus can also automate groundwater treatment systems to lower operation and maintenance costs.
