Optimize Sampling and Reporting of Remediation Sites
Project managers and environmental consultants know that one-third to one-half of environmental remediation costs go toward repetitive sampling analyses and regulatory reporting of sites. This generates vast amounts of site and anlytical data associated with each environmental site. Often this data is unsecure, located on multiple desktop computers, and not easily accessible to share. Additionally, the data may have inconsistent formats and not comply with enterprise data standards. As a result, using the data for strategic planning, analysis, and regulatory reporting for sites is inefficient, labor intensive, and costly. What's required is a central system which allows you to unify the environmental data and to optimize the remediation program.
Locus offers a full line of environmental monitoring and sampling services for groundwater, soil, soil vapor, surface water, and ambient air. Our field crews periodically monitor and sample hundreds of groundwater wells, including industrial, domestic, and agricultural supply wells.
Our highly-trained sampling staff has more than 30 years of experience and performs periodic sampling at dozens of industrial facilities under order from California RWQCB, US EPA, ADEQ, and various local regulatory agencies. All Locus sampling personnel maintain current Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification, so they are prepared for sites where hazardous materials are being sampled. In addition to extensive experience collecting samples for routine analyses such as petroleum hydrocarbons and volatile organic compounds, Locus' sampling personnel have also collected samples for specialty analyses including tritium age dating and dissolved gases.
Locus has met permit monitoring requirements for discharge of treated air and water, including NPDES and BAAQMD requirements, for many sites. Clients who contract with Locus for sampling services can be assured of the highest quality data. Our extensive sampling experience at numerous Superfund sites, which have the tightest quality assurance/quality control standards in the environmental industry, has resulted in a non-compromising work ethic that we apply to all of our projects. Locus' fast mobilization and experienced staff are also guaranteed to meet your sampling requirements with minimal cost.
Locus has invested in state-of-the-art equipment for efficient sampling and water collection. Using portable extensions of our ePortal and EIM software on PDAs or "smart" phones, most information collected in the field can be input directly into digital format. Back at the office, this information is uploaded directly into the EIM database, saving time, cost, and potential data transcription errors for our clients. Through the internet, Locus clients can view scheduled monitoring events and directly observe the progress of sampling activities.
