Optimize Sampling and Reporting of Remediation Sites

Environmental professionals

Project managers and environmental consultants know that one-third to one-half of environmental remediation costs go toward repetitive sampling analyses and regulatory reporting of sites. This generates vast amounts of site and anlytical data associated with each environmental site. Often this data is unsecure, located on multiple desktop computers, and not easily accessible to share. Additionally, the data may have inconsistent formats and not comply with enterprise data standards. As a result, using the data for strategic planning, analysis, and regulatory reporting for sites is inefficient, labor intensive, and costly. What's required is a central system which allows you to unify the environmental data and to optimize the remediation program.

Operation and Maintenance Services

Locus Technologies specializes in operation and maintenance (O&M) of water and vapor recovery, conveyance, and treatment systems. Locus has a strong technical team that meets the O&M challenge for today's automated water and vapor treatment systems. The technicians at Locus are experts at operating and maintaining process equipment and control systems. Locus also has in-house mechanical engineers that can design repairs or upgrades for treatment system components if needed.

Through our eAutomation services, Locus is unparalleled in its ability to operate and maintain Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. By integrating Internet-based technologies with traditional SCADA systems, Locus can provide 24-hour monitoring and control from anywhere in the world, allowing remote system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system resets through secure system access. Our complete capability to program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software means your O&M requirements will be met economically and efficiently for even the most complex systems.

Locus remotely monitors your site to schedule routine maintenance before a breakdown occurs. Filter and other routine media changes are handled during normal visits to your site. This is possible because parameters, such as head loss and flow, are monitored on-line by Locus technicians. Locus technicians are on-call 24 hours a day. The HMI software is tied to a programmable dialer that distinguishes minor problems from major malfunctions requiring immediate attention.

Through our in-house staff, multiple locations, and broad network of subcontractors, Locus can respond at any hour of the day to virtually any site in the world.
