eLibrary is a simple, yet robust, environmental document management system integrated into Locus's ePortal environmental project management portal. eLibrary is a powerful online tool to organize, track, share, revise, and manage all types of environmental documents in role-based secure site. Users can create individualized document library hierarchies and folders to match existing business processes and select for a wide range of document types, including photo galleries, bookmark lists, contact lists, announcements, and simple notes. Metadata and key words can be easily added to documents to provide individualized information or instructions to users. eLibrary features complete document edit and revision work flows and robust role-based security access. eLibrary documents are integrated with Locus's eSite application as applicable to the individual sites. Thus, customers can have program level documents stored in eLibary for access by all users and site-specific documents stored for access by smaller project teams. All environmental documents are in one place, easy to track, manage, and update – truly a "knowledge management" portal for environmental projects.
Users of Locus's ePortal access eLibrary with a single login. Users can store, view upload, download, edit, revise, and archive documents inside the eLibrary application. Documents can be organized in any manner a customer wishes. Users access the eLibrary application based on pre-defined roles.
Roles include administrator, author, and viewer. Administrators can create folders and hierarchy, and annotate and customize sections. Authors can upload, edit, revise, create, and delete documents, and viewers can view and download only. eLibrary is available only as part of ePortal, which is available via online subscription.
