What is eEco?

eEco is a web based application to manage ecological data and information. eEco lets users self-configure the application and produce reports on what is important to them. eEco can handle all types of ecological data and users themselves define the important attributes of each type of data including plant types, habitats, coral health, bird counts, mammals etc. This way, users can collect any type of data related to an ecological entity and define as many attributes as needed with complicated programming.

Like many other Locus applications, eEco interacts symbiotically with EIM, ePortal, and eTask to provide an enterprise solution to your environmental information management needs. Users can add new ecological entities any time they need, and create and assign a customized list of attributes for that entity. Once ecological entities are built, then attributes are assigned and data are populated using easy to use electronic upload formats. Data are viewed in tables, exported to Excel or ArcView or viewed on live Google maps.

How Does it Work?

eEco is offered on-demand over the web individually or as an integrated part of the Locus ePortal environmental management solution. eEco includes user access privilege levels to give companies control over who can add or delete ecological entities and attributes. Users have the option to upload data one measurement at a time or through a bulk upload utility using a variety of file formats including Excel based formats. Users can also design their own form designs and electronic data upload templates to customize the data entry experience. eEco can be used for a single site or across a portfolio of sites in any location worldwide.
